What Are Mythic+ Affixes?
Affixes are modifiers that make Mythic+ dungeons harder or more complex each week. At +4 and above, one seasonal affix is active. At +7, a second affix adds. At +10, a third affix layers on. The combination changes each week on a rotation, meaning some weeks are significantly harder than others.
For buyers, affix week affects price and availability. Easy affix weeks have more supply and lower prices. Difficult affix weeks (Tyrannical + Bolstering + Sanguine) have fewer available carry teams and higher prices.
Tyrannical vs Fortified
These two affixes alternate weekly and are the most impactful. Tyrannical makes bosses 30% harder and minibosses 15% harder — it slows down runs and requires more healing cooldowns. Fortified makes trash 20% harder and 30% more health — it slows pulls and increases healer strain.
Fortified weeks are generally harder for IO pushes because trash encounters are where most carry deaths happen. Tyrannical weeks are harder for time-sensitive keys because boss fights extend significantly.
The Rotation and What It Means for Prices
The most buyer-friendly affix combinations are Fortified + Entangling (slow trash movement, manageable), and Tyrannical + Incorporeal (requires crowd control but no random deaths). These weeks have 15–20% lower prices on GG Market because seller supply increases.
The most expensive weeks feature Sanguine (healing pools from trash) or Bursting (stacking debuff from enemy deaths) — mechanics that require precision from the entire party and slow down even experienced sellers.
How Carry Teams Adapt to Affixes
